Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney was born Amal A. Alamuddin, a Lebanese British legal practitioner and human rights advocate. She is a graduate of Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law. The length of her career has earned her international acclaim for her achievements in international law and the field of human rights. The clients she has worked with have been numerous nation states, including the state of Armenia in its fight for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney became engaged to and married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a well-known name in the world of popular entertainment. Prior to that, the actress was known for successfully representing her clients in courts and was well-known. Her work spans from dealing with human rights and justice issues to representing several multinational corporations in their negotiations and court actions in relation to government regulation. The barrister she is currently a part of which is a kind of lawyer in British court.
